Ms. Ivy Shum has extensive experience in VR/AR technology and event planning, focusing on digital transformation consulting and project management. She graduated from Silicon Valley in the United States. She earned a Master’s in Multimedia Entertainment Technology from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, having previously organized major tech events such as TEDxHongKong. Currently, her company, Evory Media, is dedicated to promoting hybrid online and offline events through innovative technology, fostering communication and collaboration across various industries while leveraging technology to enhance competitiveness.
My Story
In Hong Kong’s market industries, the VR, AR, and XR sectors are developing rapidly and focusing on the impact of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the environment, society, and governance (ESG). Today's projects are critical and prioritize not only having sound planning and technologically advanced solutions but also ease of use and implementation.
When integrating VR/AR/XR solutions, it is necessary to consider SDGs and ESG factors, and actively promote sustainable development practices and positive social impact, which will also help evaluate the score. Additionally, these projects emphasize achieving optimal user experience outcomes by leveraging innovative technologies, purposeful initiatives, and user-centered design. These considerations are key to moving the industry forward.
I founded the Hong Kong VR/AR Association, which aims to gather VR/AR service providers in Hong Kong in this association and community to introduce their applications and use cases to the public and different industries. We hope to collaborate with more organizations and VR and AR industry experts to build a technology community and connect like-minded people in Hong Kong.
